Zinio for Samsung Maintenance Window: Wednesday 8th Feb

17:00 ICT/11:00 CET/05:00 ET: The planned maintenance is now complete and we are undergoing a full system test.  System access should now be available.  There may be isolated cases of text view not loading for some apps.

Date:  Wednesday Feb 8th 2017

Start Time:11.50am ICT (5.50am CET /23.50pm ET)

Expected duration: Maximum downtime of 6 hours

Summary: Zinio for Samsung production servers will be moved to Amazon Web Services Infrastructure closer to our customer base.

Customer Benefits: This migration gives Zinio for Samsung the opportunity to centralise IT infrastructure with better build it redundancy, quicker response times and additional security.

Impacted services:  

  • The App may crash
  • Ability to purchase content within the app will be unavailable to new customers
  • Ability to download new content will be unavailable
  • Ability to log-in to the app will be unavailable where applicable.
  • Issue Previews may not load
  • The search feature may not function
  • Already downloaded issues will be available to open and read.
